Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano has provided some updates inside Chelsea after the club are on a good run of form currently in the league.
Things have been very up and down for Chelsea under the new ownership, and they have not really been where they wanted to be. But this season has started quite well, and feelings are starting to be a bit more positive around the club, the manager, and the squad that has been built.
Not every Chelsea fan is going to be feeling too confident just yet though, but pundits, the media, and other rival fans are starting to believe Chelsea might be one to watch now this season.
Transfer expert Romano has been speaking about all of this, and he has provided some insights on the feelings within the club and from the players right now.
Chelsea will challenge
Romano told Caught Offside:
“The team is very happy with how he [Enzo Maresca] is handling things and always the club is feeling the same so I think it’s a very positive situation around Chelsea probably the best moment after the new owners came in and so now you can see how it feels completely different. They’re already very happy with what they have and I think they will be contenders, yes.
“I think they are, absolutely. I think they are. They will be there to compete. We know in England, in the Premier League, it’s never easy. So it’s never guaranteed, even when you have a fantastic team. But I think Chelsea can be there. Also because the chemistry with the manager has been excellent.”
