Enzo Maresca conducted his Arsenal pre-match press conference on Thursday night already, immediately following our 8-0 win against FC Noah in the UEFA Conference League, which meant that he didn’t really have an update on the status of Cole Palmer just yet.
“Cole is getting better, but because he can walk and have dinner doesn’t mean he is completely fit. He is getting better and we still have two days to prepare for the game. Hopefully, we can have him for a session — at least on Saturday — and then we take a decision.”

Chelsea held a recovery session yesterday (Friday) afternoon; Palmer was there though it’s unclear in what capacity. The official website makes no mention of him in their brief report, but he did post a story to his Instagram showing off the compression-ice-wrap thing on his left knee. That may be a good sign (standard post-training recovery) or a bad sign (even such fancy machines aren’t enough).
I guess we’ll find out soon enough.
