Heading into the 2024 NFL season, the Arizona Cardinals were not a team that was getting a lot of buzz for what they’d be able to accomplish this year, as no one really knew what to expect from Kyler Murray and company.
Coming into Week 11’s matchup against the division-rival Seattle Seahawks on the road at Lumen Field, the Cardinals are sitting atop the NFC West division standings with a record of 6-4, as Arizona is riding a four-game win streak and looking like a force to be reckoned with moving forward.
During the 2024 campaign, Murray has shown why the team selected him with the No. 1 overall pick in the NFL Draft a few years ago, as he’s playing arguably the best football of his professional career while helping the Cardinals win games every week.
ESPN’s Mina Kimes explains Murray’s impact on the Cardinals this season.
“Murray is having a great season,” Kimes said. “At the moment, is second in QBR behind Lamar Jackson. He is best against pressure. That’s the biggest thing that jumps out. He has career highs now in a lot of metrics. He in not turning the football over. He is not taking a lot of sacks.”
If Murray can continue to play at a high level moving forward, the Cardinals have a legitimate shot to win the NFC West division title and punch their ticket to the NFL playoffs as a result.
In Week 11, Arizona will need to win on the road against Seattle to improve their chances of being playoff-bound, and they seem to be the better team coming into this divisional matchup.
