On Saturday afternoon, Canada faced Switzerland in the semifinals of the World Championship. Canada was viewed as the favorite heading into this matchup, but Switzerland picked up the win thanks to a former Colorado Avalanche forward.
Sven Andrighetto played the hero for Switzerland in this contest, as he scored the shootout winner. The skilled forward showed great poise with the puck before sniping it past St. Louis Blues goaltender Jordan Binnington with a beautiful snapshot. He also got a little help from the post.
