The New England Patriots have done a great job keeping together their core this offseason, as they’ve signed a number of key players to extensions, including Kyle Dugger and Christian Barmore.
Now, it appears that another may be on the horizon.
On Saturday, Patriots edge rusher Matthew Judon posted a gif of Leonardo DiCaprio’s character Jordan Belfort in “The Wolf of Wall Street” where Belfort is telling his employees that he’s “not (expletive) leaving.”

Judon had some of his money from this year of his contract bumped to last year to get him onto the practice field in 2023, meaning he will make just $6.5 million in base salary and up to $1 million in roster bonuses in 2024.
As head coach Jerod Mayo pointed out, the 31-year-old hasn’t been at the team’s organized team activities, but Mayo played it off as a normal thing.
Judon has been known to have his fun on social media, but if we’re taking it seriously, it would have to mean that either an extension is coming or he’s willing to play on his current contract.
Considering that he missed a majority of the season last year due to a torn biceps, either would make some sense. However, with the way that last offseason went, how much cap space the team has left and how much they’ll be relying on their defense to shut down opposing offenses, an extension seems more likely.
