Ferrari have executed a discreet yet strategically significant coup ahead of the new regulatory era, securing the services of Guillaume Dezoteux from within the Red Bull ecosystem. The highly regarded engineer is set to join the Scuderia as Head of Performance Operations, a move that underlines Maranello’s intent to fortify its technical depth as the 2026 reset approaches.
Dezoteux arrives in Italy after an extensive eighteen-year tenure across the Red Bull family, most recently serving as Head of Vehicle Performance at Racing Bulls. His longevity within the organisation speaks to a career forged at the sharp end of Formula One, where he became deeply embedded in the performance philosophies that underpinned Red Bull’s sustained competitiveness.
Throughout his career, Dezoteux has occupied a spectrum of senior technical roles, including Chief Engineer and Performance Engineer across the team’s previous incarnations. His résumé also features a period away from Formula One with Michelin, an experience that further broadened his technical perspective before his return to the paddock.
Confirming his departure via LinkedIn, Dezoteux expressed gratitude to his former colleagues, describing his years at Racing Bulls as “one hell of a ride.” While he stopped short of revealing his next destination publicly, he wished the team continued success with its forthcoming power unit—subtly closing the door on a defining chapter of his career.
GPblog has since confirmed that Dezoteux’s next role will be at Ferrari, where he assumes responsibility for performance operations at a pivotal moment in the team’s evolution. With sweeping regulation changes looming and Lewis Hamilton now embedded in the project, Ferrari’s acquisition of a seasoned Red Bull insider signals a calculated push to translate structural refinement into sustained on-track competitiveness.
