Chelsea are in “direct” contact with Victor Osimhen’s camp with negotiations “more alive than ever” about a potential agreement for a move, according to Gianluca Di Marzio and others, including Fabrizio Romano.
Romano’s reporting is a bit less assertive about all this, but he does agree that Paris Saint-Germain are not in the running at the moment, and Osimhen’s only other viable choice as things stand is the Saudi Pro League.
The 25-year-old could certainly make a lot more money in the SPL, especially given Chelsea’s new wage structures, so if that’s his priority, there isn’t much we can do to change his mind. However, Chelsea may have relented a bit on our staunch resolve of not committing to anything more than a loan (with or without a conditional transfer clause predicated on a top-four finish), so perhaps that will sway the striker.
According to the reports, we are set to begin negotiations with Napoli over potential transfer (or loan) terms as well, assuming that Osimhen’s willing to entertain the possibility. Less than 72 hours to go!
🚨🔵 Chelsea and Al Ahli are still the only clubs in talks for Victor Osimhen.
