Richards hails Jackson and Palmer partnership
A key part of Chelsea’s good start to has been the form of both Palmer and Jackson, and Magpies boss Eddie Howe highlighted their quality after the game.
Jackson already has six goals and three assists this season, whilst Palmer has seven goals and five assists as he looks to better his feats from the last campaign.
The partnership is blossoming and seems to be getting better with every game and they have established themselves as one of the most lethal partnerships in the league at this early stage of the season.
It’s something that Richards has noticed and he described the on pitch chemistry between the pair as “absolutely brilliant.”
“The chemistry he (Palmer) has with Jackson is absolutely brilliant,” he told Match of the Day 2.
“Not necessarily in terms of the passing, but it’s the movement, the relationship they have between them is excellent.”
You can’t disagree with Richards and Palmer has really thrived in the number ten role, whilst Jackson has impressed with his all round play and his finishing has improved a lot already from last season.
It’s not just Palmer and Jackson, the Blues have so much attacking talent at their disposal with the likes of Noni Madueke, Pedro Neto and Jadon Sancho also contributing.
Chelsea face a tough trip to Newcastle on Wednesday in the Carabao Cup and it will be interesting to see which attackers Enzo Maresca picks, with it likely one or both of Jackson and Palmer could find themselves on the bench.
