When Chelsea have played well and won it’s always fun to sit back and soak up the positivity, and that’s just what they did on the London is Blue podcast this week.
They went into detail on one player who was outstanding in the 3-0 win over West Ham – Levi Colwill.
His ability to punch passes into midfield was really highlighted in this game as he launched attack after attack from deep. The stats backed it up – he was top of basically every passing category against the Hammers, and the eye test backs that up even more convincingly as he fired every type of pass you can think of up field.
They called him “absolutely world class,” and when it comes to central defenders and their abilities on the ball, it’s hard to disagree and think of many who top him.
