Two-time WNBA champion A’ja Wilson is serving up both victory and style after leading the Las Vegas Aces to their third championship in four years. The Finals MVP appeared on Good Morning America with teammates Jackie Young, Jewell Loyd, and Chelsea Gray, where she surprised fans by debuting a bold short hairstyle.
Host Robin Roberts congratulated Wilson on her game-winning shot in Game 3 against the Phoenix Mercury before complimenting her new look. “That’s truly a special thing. I like the look there, A’ja. You looking good,” Roberts said, as Wilson smiled and confidently showed off her chic new cut.
Reflecting on the Aces’ historic season, Wilson said, “Those are the moments you live for in the Finals. Seeing the ball go through the hoop and my teammates embrace me — it was truly special.”
Teammate Jackie Young credited the team’s resilience: “After that 53-point loss, we came back strong. That’s what champions do.”
