The Denver Broncos are continuing their preparations for Sunday’s game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers with some updates on player injuries. Safety Brandon Jones returned to practice after sitting out Wednesday due to a foot issue, while edge rusher Baron Browning remains sidelined.
Defensive end John Franklin-Myers and safety JL Skinner also missed practice, with Skinner dealing with an ankle injury sustained in last week’s loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers. Franklin-Myers showed signs of progress in the post-concussion protocol, carrying his helmet on the field before moving to a side area for rehab.
On a more positive note, five players who were limited on Wednesday, including defensive end Zach Allen, tight ends Greg Dulcich and Adam Trautman, and wide receivers Josh Reynolds and Devaughn Vele, practiced on Thursday. Vele, who has missed Week 2, is looking to return and is currently second on the team in receptions with 8.
On the Buccaneers’ side, they are facing their own injury challenges. Starting defensive linemen Vita Via and Calijah Kancey did not practice, and cornerback Antoine Winfield Jr. was seen running on a side field. Additionally, starting right tackle Luke Goedeke was also absent from practice. Both teams will need to navigate these injury concerns as they approach game day.
