Former Oregon Ducks players gathered for a reunion during the Denver Broncos’ game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Sunday.
Denver quarterback Bo Nix (2022-23), wide receiver Troy Franklin (2022-23), backup center Alex Forsyth (2017-22), and Tampa Bay running back Bucky Irving (2021-23) all played together at Oregon. Nix and Irving met at midfield before the game.
Nix had an impressive performance, securing his first NFL victory. The No. 12 overall pick in the 2024 NFL Draft completed 25 of 36 passes for 216 yards, with no sacks or turnovers, leading the Broncos to a 26-7 win. He also rushed nine times for 47 yards and a touchdown.
Franklin recorded his first NFL catch, a six-yard reception from Nix in the second quarter, and added another five-yard catch on the same drive. He ended the game with two receptions on five targets for 11 yards.
Irving was the leading rusher for the Buccaneers, totaling a career-high 70 yards on nine carries. A fourth-round pick (No. 125) in the 2024 NFL Draft, he also made three receptions for 14 yards. Currently, he leads the Buccaneers in rushing with 25 carries for 154 yards, averaging 6.2 yards per carry.
