Rome Odunze entered his rookie season in 2024 with high hopes after being drafted in the first round by the Chicago Bears. He started slowly, managing just 3 receptions for 44 yards in his first two games. However, everything changed in Week 3 when he recorded 6 catches for 112 yards and his first NFL touchdown. Interestingly, it was also the first touchdown pass of Caleb Williams’ career.
After the game, when asked about keeping the ball, Odunze joked, “We’re going to cut it in half. He’ll get the right, I’ll get the left like the Twix factory. But I think he’ll give me this one. He’s going to have plenty in his career, a lot more than me.”
Odunze enjoyed significant success in college, catching 24 touchdown passes during his four years with the Huskies, and he aims to add many more to his NFL tally.
