Clark, fresh off a historic Rookie of the Year season with the Indiana Fever, impressed Monahan with her powerful drives and competitive fire during the event in Sea Island, Georgia. The commissioner publicly praised her golf talent, noting she’s only been playing seriously for 18 months yet strikes the ball remarkably well, adding she’d be “playing this game for a long time.”
In a lighthearted response shared on social media, Clark smiled and admitted: “I definitely didn’t wake up expecting to see the PGA Tour Commissioner talking about me. But I appreciate the compliment. I’ve always loved sports, and golf is something I mess around with in the offseason—it’s a fun escape from basketball pressure.”
