The Indiana Fever made an appearance at the U.S. Olympic Team Swimming Trials on June 18. The competition takes place at Lucas Oil Stadium, just down the street from where the Fever play at Gainbridge Fieldhouse.
Lucas Oil Stadium was transformed to feature three state-of-the-art pools for the trials. Egged on by her teammates, Clark was dared to put her hand in one of the pools as they entered the stadium.
Clark and the Fever will watch the men’s 800-meter freestyle and women’s 100-meter backstroke finals on Tuesday night. It’s a nice reversal of support between the swimmers and the Fever in Indiana. During the Fever’s 91-83 win over the Chicago Sky, seven-time gold medalist Katie Ledecky, who has already clinched a spot to compete in her fourth Olympics this summer, was sitting courtside with her brother.
Clark and the Fever have the night off before hosting the Washington Mystics on June 19.
