Tosin Adarabioyo has made a big claim about Chelsea’s squad following Saturday’s win against West Ham at the London Stadium.
The Blues continued their good start to the season with a 3-0 win thanks to a brace from Nicolas Jackson, with Cole Palmer also getting on the scoresheet.
Chelsea sit fifth in the Premier League with ten points from their opening five games and other than the disappointing draw at home to Crystal Palace, couldn’t have asked for a much better start to the campaign.
Adarabioyo on Chelsea’s squad
Chelsea were once again busy in the transfer window with a number of new faces coming through the door, the first of which was Adarabioyo who arrived on a free transfer from neighbours Fulham.
The 26-year-old got his first minutes in the Premier League as he came on against Bournemouth to help sure up the defence as the Blues kept their first clean sheet of the season in the league.
Due to the problems at right back with Malo Gusto and Reece James both unavailable Adarabioyo started his first game in the league against West Ham, with Wesley Fofana move to right back and put in an impressive performance as Chelsea kept their second clean sheet in a row.
Adarabioyo isn’t surprised the Blues managed to keep a clean sheet despite the changes made at the back and pointed to the strength of the squad which he described as “phenomenal.”
“It obviously came on the back of a good result at Bournemouth, when I came on and kept another clean sheet, and today we did so again so I’m very happy,” he told Chelsea’s website.
“I think everyone knows our squad is phenomenal. You can take any player, you can swap any player in or out and it’s still going to be a high level.”
There’s no denying Chelsea have got a squad packed full of talent with brilliant options all over the pitch and the depth and quality of the squad will likely be on show against Barrow in the Carabao Cup on Tuesday night with Enzo Maresca set to make wholesale changes to the team.
