It has been reported that The Blues could even send Lipani back to Sassuolo for a season on loan and then bring the central midfielder to Stamford Bridge next summer, as Chelsea continue signing young talent from all over the world.
Sassuolo paid around 3 million euros for Lipani last season and are set to make a decent profit on a player who had only recently made the step up to the club’s first-team and appeared eight times in Serie A last season.
Comfortable playing as a defensive midfielder or as a deep lying playmaker, Lipani is versatile and strong defensively and has shown potential going forward.
