The English midfielder is reunited with his manager who guided him to win the Championship title last season.
The 25-year-old midfielder played his best football under the Italian manager, who will now be guiding him again next season but this time at Stamford Bridge.
Dewsbury-Hall scored 12 goals and assisted another 14 in his highly successful individual campaign.
However, the Blues have been told that they have not signed the best Leicester City player.
Football pundit Gabriel Marcotti has stated that the Premier League giants should have signed Dewsbury-Hall’s Leicester City teammate Harry Winks.
He told ESPN:
“I mean Maresca must like him,” said Marcotti.
“It’s not an enormous amount of money to spend. Sure, why not?
“I would have thought, if you are going to replicate, then Harry Winks would have been the guy he signs or somebody who can do Harry Winks-type stuff. I am not comfortable with Enzo (Fernandez) in the playmaker role. I just don’t think that’s his position. And obviously, Dewsbury-Hall doesn’t do that and Caicedo doesn’t do that either. Gallagher either.
“I think this means that Gallagher is gone, but I think we kind of saw that happening.”
Chelsea have signed a versatile midfielder from Leicester
It remains to be seen how Dewsbury-Hall will perform next season and in a much tougher league this time.
He has the backing and the support of the manager though, who knows his game well and will be able to use the midfielder in such a way that his strengths could be maximised.
The English midfielder will add goals and creativity to the Chelsea midfield and allow the attacking players better opportunities to score.
