Colts’ Tyrese Haliburton “Turns Up”
Tyrese Haliburton is a team player. Not one to show up to teammates or wallow in self-pity over sitting on the bench, the Indiana Pacers All-Star knows what it means to support one’s team genuinely.
However, as the NBA season is over a month away and the Olympics are over, Haliburton needs another outlet to showcase his cheerleading spirit. For the NFL Sunday kickoff, Haliburton attended the Indianapolis Colts vs. Houston Texans game at Lucas Oil Stadium. The game ended dramatically as the Texans won 29-27.
Footage revealed Haliburton in the crowd on his feet in the last two minutes of action, cheering the Colts. However, like the Pacers, the Colts’ defense couldn’t hold up to win the game. Houston’s offense had the ball for 40 minutes, which meant the defense had to play against a dynamic young quarterback for an extended period. Nonetheless, the home team gave the crowd something to look forward to with their quarterback Anthony Richardson throwing a 60-yard touchdown pass.
Haliburton recently attended a couple of Indiana Fever games, supporting Caitlin Clark’s rookie season. Moreover, similar to the Pacers, the Fever are set to make the playoffs after a drought.
The Pacers fans know the great attitude of Haliburton, but for the NBA star to publicize it will help him become a household name and perhaps help the Pacers with marketing. The Pacers’ home opener is on Oct. 27, hosting the Philadelphia 76ers; perhaps Clark and members of the Colts will catch a game at the Gainbridge Fieldhouse.
