Corbin Carroll gets closer to the history of the Diamondbacks
The Arizona Diamondbacks wasted no time getting things started against the Colorado Rockies at Coors Field, with Corbin Carroll leading off the game by greeting Antonio Senzatela with a triple.

Though Carroll was initially called out at third, a review overturned the call as the tag came just a split second too late.
With that triple, Carroll tied a Diamondbacks franchise record for triples in a single season, matching Tony Womack’s 14 from 1999. He now needs just one more to claim the record outright.
The momentum continued when Ketel Marte, capitalizing on the thin air of Colorado, crushed a 460-foot home run to straightaway center field. The blast marked Marte’s 32nd home run of the season and his second since returning from the IL last weekend.
These early runs came off Rockies starter Antonio Senzatela, who was making his first appearance since May 2023 after undergoing Tommy John surgery last summer.
A win tonight would see the Diamondbacks match their total wins from the 2023 season.
