Elle Duncan has been named the new studio host for USA Network’s WNBA coverage, continuing her long-standing presence in women’s basketball broadcasting. The announcement confirms that Duncan will serve as the official WNBA correspondent for the newly launched sports brand, USA Sports, marking another major milestone in her media career.
The appointment was confirmed on January 22, with Duncan set to handle pregame and postgame studio duties throughout USA Sports’ inaugural WNBA season on USA Network. This role follows her recent transition to Netflix, where she now works as an on-air host for sports programming and live events. Despite the move, Duncan’s new contract allows her to remain active across multiple networks, provided there are no scheduling conflicts.
Duncan’s hiring comes as part of a landmark media rights agreement between the WNBA and Versant, announced in November. The 11-year deal grants USA Network the rights to broadcast WNBA games from the 2026 season through 2036. Under the agreement, the network will air at least 50 games each year, including regular-season contests and select playoff and Finals matchups, with Wednesday-night doubleheaders supported by dedicated studio coverage.
Before joining USA Network, Duncan built a strong reputation at ESPN, where she anchored the 6 p.m. edition of SportsCenter and played a central role in WNBA and women’s college basketball coverage. She also co-hosted WNBA Countdown alongside Chiney Ogwumike and Andraya Carter, with the trio earning praise from fans for their chemistry and insightful commentary during major events like the women’s Final Four.
In addition to her WNBA responsibilities, Duncan’s expanding role at Netflix highlights her versatility as a sports broadcaster. Her upcoming duties include hosting MLB Opening Night, the MLB Home Run Derby, and contributing to NFL Christmas Day coverage. She is also set to make her Netflix live-event debut during Skyscraper Live, a global broadcast featuring climber Alex Honnold attempting to scale Taipei 101. With her growing influence across platforms, Elle Duncan continues to stand out as one of the most dynamic voices in modern sports media.
