It looks like Leicester City boss Enzo Maresca is soon to be named the next head coach of Chelsea, taking over from Mauricio Pochettino who departed the club last week.
It looks like it will be quick turn around, with Pochettino and Chelsea mutually parting ways last Tuesday. And we have already now had the ‘here we go’ deal agreed from transfer guru Fabrizio Romano, which 99% of the time means it’s a done deal and we can fully expect Maresca to take the reigns at Chelsea now.

Not only Romano though, every other top source and outlet are basically saying the same thing now and the deal is agreed for Maresca to become the next Chelsea manager.
It’s been a whirlwind week of rumours and various names mentioned that Chelsea are trying to hire, and eventually they look to have settled with their man. But who will be joining him on the bench at Stamford Bridge next season, and hopefully for him, beyond that!
A five man team expected to join Maresca at Chelsea
The Telegraph report that Chelsea are determined to respect Leicester during negotiations and will pay a compensation package which could be just over £10 million, as it includes Maresca and five backroom staff.
Willy Caballero, the former Chelsea goalkeeper and assistant manager, coach Danny Walker, goalkeeper coach Michele de Bernardin, fitness coach Marcos Alvarez and first-team analyst Javier Molina Caballero are all expected to join Maresca at Stamford Bridge.
Caballero knows the club well
The former Manchester City stopper enjoyed a stint at Chelsea and was much more of a squad player than anything else. But he seemed to have earned a nice connection with the Chelsea fans who appreciated his efforts despite never really getting the nod to play. He always seemed dedicated to helping Chelsea in whether way he could despite not playing.
He knows the club well and I am sure he will be a welcome addition to the coaching team.
