Fans of the Buffalo Bills share what they would sacrifice to win the Super Bowl.
Buffalo Bills fans have already shown that they will do just about anything if they believe it will help the team win.
A few years ago, one fan believed that a sweet potato gave the team some good luck. Before long, Wegmans Supermarkets started selling good luck sweet potatoes for the fan base.
Last year’s good luck superstition was the pit. Fans believed trespassing into the home of the team’s future home and sacrificing themselves to the pit would bring good luck. While this trend led to many fans being charged with trespassing, the fan base continued to take part with the team going on a win streak to claim the AFC East and get into the postseason after an up-and-down start to the year. To be fair to the fan base, Josh Allen said that he would also sacrifice himself to the pit if it meant Buffalo winning the Super Bowl.
It’s clear that fans are willing to go the extra mile for the team, but a recent survey from RotoGrinders broke down exactly what the team would sacrifice to see Josh Allen and company hoist the Lombardi Trophy.
Bills Mafia members that were part of the 3,013 NFL fans surveyed, said they would give up or miss out on the following:
28% of the fans said they would give up a date with a celebrity crush.
14% would pass on going to a family members wedding. The same percentage said they would give up their annual bonus at work as well.
25% would give up a winning bet of $2000.
20% would give up an all-expenses paid trip to a Las Vegas Casino.
20% would pass on going to the last ever concert of their favorite artist.
8% said they would skip the funeral of a close family member.
3% would give up their marriage.
3% said they would give up their own wedding and their own honeymoon.
3% of Bills fans said that they would also miss their child being born.
2% said they would give up their retirement savings.
While all Bills fans want to see the team win the Super Bowl, 37% admitted that they would not give up anything to see it happen.
If the team were to win the big game, however, 64% of the Bills fans surveyed said that they would skip work to attend the Super Bowl victory parade. If that day were to come, the entire city of Buffalo may have to be shut down as the party would flood the streets.
