One football pundit has just delivered an encouraging end league position for Chelsea for the current season ahead.
Not everyone is full of praise for Chelsea this season or believes that they will be finishing the season in a good spot. And to be honest, a lot of the media have been criticising Chelsea a lot recently and do not expect big things from them anytime soon.
But one pundit has put his neck out and is predicting a good finish for Chelsea this season and really, most Chelsea fans would absolutely take this finish if it happened.
Champions League football back at The Bridge
Former player turned pundit Darren Bent believes there will be Champions League football back at Stamford Bridge next season, and that is because he is predicting a top four finish for The Blues this season.
As cited on X, Bent said when asked where he thinks Chelsea will finish this season:
“Fourth – Chelsea. I just think look at the firepower they have got. It’s a bit of a basketcase, but I have seen the sample sizes, like the Wolves result away from home 6-2. I know they drew 1-1 with Palace, but they have won one, lost one and drawn one.
“I feel that once Maresca has got his settled team now that the window has closed, no incoming and no outgoings and all that, a settled squad, I feel like they will finish in the top four.”
Well, let’s hope he is spot on with this prediction then!
