Indiana Fever fans now have a new way to show their team pride while making a meaningful impact in their community. The WNBA franchise has introduced its first-ever specialty license plate, giving supporters the chance to celebrate their love for the team while contributing to programs that help women and girls thrive across Indiana. The initiative reflects the Fever’s commitment to extending their influence beyond the basketball court and into the lives of young women statewide.
The new license plate is available through the Indiana Bureau of Motor Vehicles and will directly benefit the Fever Fund, a program under the Pacers Foundation. This fund is dedicated to empowering women and girls through initiatives that enhance athletic opportunities, educational experiences, and personal development within local communities. With each plate purchased, fans actively participate in promoting equality and providing resources that help the next generation succeed in sports, school, and life.
Amber Cox, the Indiana Fever’s Chief Operating Officer and General Manager, expressed excitement over the launch. She emphasized that the plate offers fans not only a fun way to display their team spirit but also a tangible opportunity to contribute to a cause that makes a difference. “Every license plate sold helps create meaningful programs and opportunities for women and girls across Indiana,” Cox said. “It’s rewarding to know that our team can have a positive impact that extends far beyond the hardwood.”
The design of the plate combines style with symbolism. It features bold black lettering on a white background, accented with the team’s iconic “F” logo on the left side. The bottom of the plate proudly displays “Fever Fund” on a red banner, while standard plates carry a “WB” prefix to signify women’s basketball. Motorcycle plates adopt an “EW” prefix, standing for “Expect to Win.” This thoughtful design allows fans to carry a piece of the Fever’s mission wherever they go.
Fever specialty plates are priced at $40 per year, with $25 from each plate going directly to the Fever Fund. Personalized plates are also available for an additional annual fee. Hoosiers can obtain the plates online at myBMV.com, visit any BMV branch in person, or use a BMV Connect kiosk when renewing standard plates. For those who want to upgrade their plate before the renewal period, the process can be completed at a branch for an extra fee. This initiative ensures that supporting women and girls in Indiana is both accessible and rewarding for fans across the state.
