Patriots vs. Bears game picks for NFL Week 10
Oliver Thomas: Matt Eberflus has never won a Sunday road game as an NFL head coach. The good news for the Bears is that this one’s at Soldier Field. And the Patriots, coming off an overtime loss that saw Drake Maye account for 95 out of 110 rushing yards, are only going where the No. 3 overall pick takes them. Deciding to change to an eighth starting combination on the offensive line last weekend hurt more than it helped. Especially while New England’s defensive side notched a single sack and allowed 167 yards on the ground. | Bears 23, Patriots 17
Brian Hines: The Bears appear to be on quit-watch under head coach Matt Eberflus, while the Caleb Williams era has gotten off to a rough start with offensive play caller Shane Waldron. The dysfunction in Chicago leaves the door open for the Patriots to steal one on the road. In order to do so, New England will have to make life easier on Drake Maye which must come from establishing the ground game against a vulnerable Bears’ rushing defense. The path is there, but Chicago is still the more talented team and at home. | Bears 24, Patriots 20
Bernd Buchmasser: The Patriots are almost a touchdown underdog in this one, but of all the games remaining on their schedule it might actually be their most winnable contest remaining given that the Bears seem to be in quite a bit of internal turmoil. Can New England take advantage, though? So far, they have not proven themselves capable of playing winning football on a consistent basis. However, if their defense steps up versus a rookie QB without both his starting tackles, and the Patriots can successfully limit turnovers on offense, this is ripe for the taking. | Patriots 23, Bears 17
