The Dallas Mavericks are coming into the 2024-25 campaign with a roster that looks better than it did at the end of last season.
Shams Charania even praised the team for an incredible offseason, especially after the addition of Klay Thompson, whom he said would fit “perfectly” as the three-man during an appearance on the OGs Show.
Even though the Mavs aced the Klay sign-and-trade deal, some believe otherwise, remarking that he is a shell of his former All-Star self. While he may not be as adept in shooting and defense as before, Thompson remains one of the best marksmen and can still keep up with a lot of wings in the NBA.
Klay Thompson’s 3-point shot attribute in NBA 2K25 is way too low
Interestingly, even the people who determine the players’ NBA 2K25 ratings don’t seem to have that much faith in Thompson, giving him a 3-point shot attribute of just 89.
While that number is not too shabby and ranks the 2016 3-Point Contest champion fourth behind Stephen Curry, Grayson Allen, and Kevin Durant, there’s no reason for him to be rated less than 90 and equally to Mike Conley.
