Lexie Hull Ties Fever Playoff Record Despite Loss to Aces

The Indiana Fever faced a tough outing in Game 2 of their semifinal matchup against the Las Vegas Aces, falling 90-68 at Michelob ULTRA Arena. While the loss was another setback for an injury-depleted Fever roster, one bright spot came from guard Lexie Hull, who delivered a performance that etched her name into the team’s history books.

Hull scored 15 points along with three rebounds and two assists, but what stood out was her precision from beyond the arc. All five of her made field goals came from three-point range, as she finished 5-of-11 from deep. With that effort, Hull tied the Fever franchise record for the most three-pointers made in a single playoff game—a mark previously held by Marissa Coleman, Katie Douglas, and Tangela Smith. Coleman and Douglas even managed the feat twice, putting Hull in elite company.

This milestone is even more remarkable given the circumstances. The Fever have been hit hard by injuries this season, losing key players like Caitlin Clark, Sophie Cunningham, Chloe Bibby, Aari McDonald, and Sydney Colson for the postseason. That void thrust Hull into a larger role, and she responded by starting 30 of her 44 regular-season games and now all five playoff contests. Though her three-point accuracy dipped to 36.7% this season from last year’s impressive 47.1%, Hull has continued to find ways to contribute when her team needs her most.

Despite Hull’s big moment, the Aces’ dominance was clear. A’ja Wilson led the charge for Las Vegas with 25 points and nine rebounds, while Odyssey Sims kept the Fever competitive with 18 points and seven assists. Rookie standout Aliyah Boston chipped in a double-double with 10 points and 13 rebounds, but Indiana couldn’t overcome the Aces’ firepower.

Now trailing in the best-of-five series, the Fever return home to Gainbridge Fieldhouse for the next two games. While the uphill climb remains steep, Hull’s record-tying night offers the team and its fans a silver lining—a reminder of the resilience that has carried them this far, even in a season defined by challenges.
