When Alabama football faces Georgia on Saturday, it looks like two injured starters may return. The SEC’s first availability report did not list Malachi Moore or Cole Adams.
Coach DeBoer mentioned that Moore returned to practice last week following a bye after the Sept. 14 game against Wisconsin, having been in concussion protocols due to a head injury. During his Wednesday appearance on the ‘Hey Coach’ radio show, DeBoer confirmed Moore’s return for the Georgia matchup, stating, “He’ll be back.”
Adams, who suffered a significant arm injury during the South Florida game and missed the Wisconsin trip, is showing signs of improvement. On Wednesday, Alabama shared a photo of him practicing with a brace on his right elbow but not wearing a black non-contact jersey.
When asked about potential punt returners, DeBoer noted that it would likely be a committee approach, including Adams, Jaylen Mbakwe, and Ryan Williams, depending on the game’s flow.
Alabama is required to provide daily availability reports starting Wednesday during SEC game weeks, with final updates before kickoff. The game against Georgia is set for 6:30 p.m. CT at Bryant-Denny Stadium and will be broadcast on ABC.
