These are comments from last week, but they hit with a bit more irony given the reported upheaval in the Chelsea boardroom, which amuses me slightly. Oh my sweet summer Chelsea child Marc Cucurella! Chaos is all we do. Used to be chaos and trophies; now it’s just chaos.
Obviously Cucurella wasn’t talking about the boardroom specifically when calling for some stability at Chelsea, but it’s hard to be stable at the bottom when the top is swinging around wildly.
“I’m happy, I think the coach we have is very good, he has very clear ideas. We’ve come from years of changes of coaches, let’s see if we can get stability without many changes, and that the manager can transmit his ideas.
“We need stability, we have very high-level players and hopefully we can have that patience that is needed, that calm, so that everything goes well. We have the level, we just need stability and for the coaches and players to be allowed to work in order to do something important.”

Let Maresca cook!
(Well, let’s win some games then. Everything’s easier when you’re winning.)
