Open Thread: San Antonio Spurs players spotted at the San Antonio FC
The Coyote, a trio of rookies, and a legend walk into a stadium…
This past weekend, some of the newest members of the San Antonio Spurs made an appearance in support of San Antonio FC, our local football club from the USL (United Soccer League) Championship.
SAFC is struggling right now to get out of the lower end of the standings in the Western Conference, so they were sent some good vibes by members of the San Antonio Spurs.
Two of the Spurs draftees, Stephon Castle and Brandon Ingram got geared up and headed on down to Toyota Field.
Castle and Ingram were joined by Riley Minix, an undrafted swingman who signed on with the Silver & Black for Summer League.
But the trio of youngsters were not the only Spurs faces at the match. An old familiar Spurs fan favorite was also present.
San Antonio FC posted on Social media…
And Harrison Ingram was caught on camera taking a shot on goal.
Here’s another angle form @SpursNchill, who had some killer seats behind the goal.
The support seems to have helped as San Antonio FC went on to win 1-0.
