In the meantime, former Chels’ manager Graham Potter has been given a new job. And the position is in football, but not the appointment you were probably expecting The Pride of London to report. So what’s the ex-Brighton & Hove Albion man up to now?

Potter wasn’t appreciated much while on Fulham Road. It just didn’t work out for the Englishman at Chelsea. Why is he back in Blues news? Now Potter is reportedly set to be an expert guest on Sky Sports’ Monday Night Football programme. This means the 49-year-old will be giving his own personal analysis on the Chelsea versus Brighton clash. Which is an interesting note, considering he managed both teams to varying degrees of success.
With regard to returning to the game in a real capacity, there is no telling the destination Potter will choose at the moment. He recently began learning the Spanish language, leading to La Liga rumours. He subsequently distanced himself from the England National post. I’d like to see him back in the EPL where he has something to offer the right club. Leicester City would have been the ideal selection.

If you’re not aware, Maresca and his staff decided to leave a trio of big names out of CFC’s Conference League squad. Cole Palmer was wisely omitted, essentially to protect his fitness. The Blues shouldn’t really require their superstar to advance.
Romeo Lavia and Wesley Fofana not included respectively either; both have had serious injuries to contend with. So this is my guess at a starting XI:
Filip Jorgensen; Renato Veiga, Axel Disasi, Benoit Badiashile, Malo Gusto; Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall, Cesare Casadei; Mykhailo Mudryk, Joao Felix, Pedro Neto; Nkunku.
