Tank Dell Issues A Single Statement Before The Season
We’re still a couple of months away from the start of the NFL season.
However, if it were up to the Houston Texans, they could play tomorrow.
At least, that’s how Tank Dell feels.
The talented wideout shared a pic of him all padded up with a single word: Ready (via Nick Schwager).
The Texans made a big addition to their passing game in the offseason.
Adding Stefon Diggs could do wonders for CJ Stroud’s development, and while that could also mean fewer touches for Dell, he should find himself wide open more often than not with Diggs and Nico Collins also running free.
Collins is expected to continue being Stroud’s primary option in the passing game, making Dell a bit of a wild card.
Stroud is coming off posting the seventh-most passing yards in the game last season despite missing time with an injury, and the offense should be even more pass-heavy in his second year working with offensive coordinator Bobby Slowik.
The Texans are most definitely ahead of schedule in their current project.
Their youth movement didn’t need that much time to get settled in in the league, making the playoffs and even winning the division in DeMeco Ryans’ first year as a head coach, just one year after winning the second-fewest games in the season.
The future is bright at NRG Stadium, and perhaps for the first time in this young franchise’s history, they should be considered a legitimate dark horse to win the whole thing in the next couple of years.
