The incredibly realistic gameplay of NBA 2K25 is a must-see.
Just like in real life.
Fans of video game hoops rejoice because there is a created player in the game that you didn’t have to spend half an hour creating. NBA 2K25 is less than two weeks from release (September 6), and clips from content creators are making their way to social media. If you’ve played the game over the last few seasons, it’s been hard to select the Spurs and get wins with the roster as it was constructed, but San Antonio’s additions change that when combined with this type of stuff from Victor Wembanyama.
2K Sports has been under fire from their fan base lately, as fans have tired of the same mechanics every year. It has often felt as if you’re buying the same exact game time after time with some updated ratings, making the experience less than satisfying.
This year, they’ve made substantial changes, such as implementing better handling, better shot creation and expanding the size of the court. Fans know how important space is to today’s NBA; that remains the case in the video game world, and Wemby will benefit from it tremendously.
Watching him destroy the competition on a video game screen doesn’t make it any less hilarious than watching how dominant he is in real life. Spurs fans will watch the gameplay footage above and surely remember specific instances when Wemby did something exactly like that, or at least close enough.
The beauty of video games is in the fantasy of it all. Even if San Antonio doesn’t make some monumental leap this season, you can turn on your video game vehicle of choice, whether it be a console or PC, and enjoy the ridiculousness sure to ensue when you start running ISOs with an agile giant at the top of the key.
