Brian Daboll knows the pressure is on for him to deliver in Year 3 with the NY Giants. After last season, fans don’t have a lot of hope that better days are on the way this fall. However, in order for that not to be the case, the offensive line simply must do a 180 compared to what we saw in 2023.
Enter Carmen Bricillo. Bobby Johnson was fired and Bricillo is the new offensive line coach. The Giants OL was the worst in the NFL by a country mile, giving up 85 sacks of Daniel Jones, Tyrod Taylor and Tommy DeVito. Now, Bricillo is being tasked with turning things around. Will he be able to do so?
Jermaine Eluemunor credits new Giants OL coach Carmen Bricillo with helping him grow as a player:

Carmen Bricillo is the right man to get the Giants OL back on track
Everything for the Giants offense starts up front. It doesn’t matter if Malik Nabers was taken with the No. 6 overall pick in the 2024 NFL Draft to be the WR1 for Big Blue if the QB doesn’t have time to throw the ball.
For the short period of time Jones was healthy last season, he was consistently running for his life. Thankfully, though, two new starting guards have arrived in the form of left guard Jermaine Eluemunor and right guard Jon Runyan Jr.
Those two will be joined up front by left tackle Andrew Thomas, second-year center John Michael Schmitz and right tackle Evan Neal. The biggest project Bricillo has entering the new season is trying to do the unthinkable: get Neal to play at his first-round level.
When taken with the No. 7 overall pick in the 2022 NFL Draft, the expectation was that Neal would be a stud for the Giants offensive line for the next 10 years. Two years into his young career and people are calling for him to either get moved to guard or be sent to the bench.
Bricillo is going to be tasked in helping Neal reach his potential. If he can, then the Giants’ issues at right tackle will finally be solved. If not, maybe Eluemunor will move to the outside and Neal will get plugged on the inside? It’s too early to tell, but a lot of people have faith in Bricillo to coach these young guys up and make life easier for Jones and Co.
